Barry was the 2018 recipient of the NC Arts Council Songwriting Fellowship. His songs are deeply personal and tap into common human emotions and struggles.

With a broad brush stroke of musical influences from the Carter Family to Kate Bush, from the Allman Brothers to Alanis Morissette and with a juicy peppering Mary Chapin Carpenter and Sheryl Crow, Nancy’s music is a documentary of a life on the road, a life in constant search, revealing personal struggles and triumphs of truth.

Influenced by classics such as The Carter Family, Loretta Lynn, and Willie Nelson, Marilyn strives to connect the audience to a piece of time that easily allows others to slip into a remembrance of love and nostalgia.
