Petrov

Petrov is a surging Charlotte, NC indie/pop/punk rock band that tore into the local scene with their powerful debut EP Sleep Year released by Self Aware Records in early 2019. The band is a gamut of veteran and fresh-faced Charlotte talent including guitarists Syd Little and Mike Backlund, bassist Matt McConomy, drummer Garrett Herzfeld, and vocalist Mary Grace McKusick, who soars as a first-time front-person for the band. Sleep Year remains widely-praised and garnered the band a slew of opportunities like appearances on WFAE’s award-winning podcast “Amplifier” with Joni Deutsch and a spot on NPR Music’s “Best Songs of 2019 (So Far)” list.

Maiden Mother Crone

Gaining a reputation in the Nashville underground for their live performances, Nashville-based quartet, Maiden Mother Crone, combines washy, reverb-drenched shoegaze with dynamic, progressive leaning song structures that reside in the ethereal and distorted. Formed in the early months of 2019 by band members Nick Stacey (guitar & vocals), Dave Parker (bass), Greg Dowling (drums), and Wesley Suttle (guitar), the band released their debut EP “Blue Ruin” in the fall of 2019 followed by their sophomore EP “Redirection” in January of 2021.

Subvertigo

While attending a Modern Color/Heart To Gold show at Snug Harbor, guitarist/vocalist Stephen Vorne, drummer Ricky Rodriguez-Cue, and guitarist Declan O’Dell expressed the desire to play music in the same vein as all the bands that had played that night, and Subvertigo was born. Soon after, bassist Ethan Saunders was asked to join and the lineup was complete. Since October 2022, Subvertigo has been building a following while playing DIY house shows across North Carolina, The Odditorium in Asheville, and a sold out show at the Milestone with Seneca Burns, Home For The Day, and Circuit.
